COVID 19 information from relevant sources only
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the lives of children and their families as health systems buckle, borders close, and schools and businesses shutter.
As the coronavirus has spread, so has misinformation – fueling discrimination and stigma. UNICEF is working with health experts to promote facts over fear, bringing trustworthy tips and guidance to parents, caregivers and educators. We’re on the ground in more than 190 countries, partnering with front-line responders and providing them with the information and resources they need to keep children healthy and learning, protected from sickness and violence. We will get through this together, for every child.
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses.
